the cable works exactly as advertised and will charge your phone at the same time. Just make sure you have a USB port near the HDMI connection (it won't work without it). Also, make sure your phone has this capability. If it's all systems go...you'll be glad you have this cable - I even used it on my TV! Universal MHL Cable - not just for your car...
