It all began in 1940 with the manufacturing of household radios under the Hakusan Electric Company. Today, we know this company as Clarion, one of the world’s leaders in automotive stereos and other electronics. The company started in Japan working with smaller electronics. In 1948, they released Japan's first car radio and PA system. A few years later in 1951, Clarion released the first original car radio.
