The NVX VS-Series is the perfect subwoofer solution. Designed from the ground up, the series utilizes excellent engineering found in the higher end NVX subwoofers. It features a non pressed treated paper cone with a custom tooled and optimized PP dust cap for accurate response and extreme SPL. Keeping the cone under control is a high-roll foam surround that is specially treated to give you maximum excursion. The VSW84V2 uses a 2.0" high-temperature aluminum voice coil that provides maximum current distribution and has a power handling range of 100-250 watts RMS. The subwoofer also features a shorting ring which is a conductive aluminum ring placed in the air gap between the pole piece and the voice coil former to reduce inductance, which in turn reduces distortion and allows the subwoofer to accurately play a higher part of the bass spectrum. All of these elements combined produce tight, deep and accurate bass that is sought after by bass-heads and audiophiles. CEA-2031 Compliant: All CEA-2031 compliant loudspeakers adopt the same testing and measurement methods so comparing them side by side is easy. Loudspeakers include car speakers and subwoofers. The Consumer Electronics Association created new testing and measurement methods for mobile loudspeaker systems that define test procedures for rating the performance and physical size of speakers. This is important because you can now compare different speakers on the same playing field. Any manufacturers who adopt the CEA-2031 logo product mark can be compared evenly to other speaker manufacturers with the same mark.

Tight Accurate Bass
Not a lot of speakers out there that can pack in so much quality into such a low price. NVX subs sound amazing considering their price point. and even without considering it they still perform quite well. these are my second set of NVX subs. I also have 2 12 inch x series. and although these are much smaller and very cheap they are well made and sound very accurate in their suggested frequency range.

I have used lots of NVX! My favorite was the XQW104, but it was discontinued. So I put this in the back glass of my 05 CTS. It's running free air so I know it could sound better, but EVERYONE is Amazed by how great it sounds! NVX for the win... again!

So I was into SPL for a while and wanted to dial it back a bit. For Christmas my wife purchased 2 of the NVX 8inch dual 4ohm subs for me. I have to say they sound incredible!!! Not to mention at $50 each is a complete steal. If you're wanting more bass on a "small" budget I highly recommend the NVX 8" subs.

Nvx 8 inch subwoofer
So far sound is great and hits good for a little subwoofer. I built a ported box. For the price point this is a good sub if your looking for just a little more the stock sound.

Great value subwoofer!
Wow these affordable 8" drivers impressed me! I put two of them in a ported enclosure at .75 cu ft each and drove them with a total of 500 watts rms of Kicker power and they were surprisingly loud! The mid to upper bass frequencies are reproduced the loudest and provide a nice sound.
