The NoiseAssassin™ Technology
The Jawbone Noise cancellation technology, or better called noise elimination technology, is the feature that separates it from all the other Bluetooth headsets on the market. It is able to separate speech and background noise with precision. The VAS (Voice Activity Sensor) detects when the user is talking, as well as the frequencies of his or her voice. The Jawbone II uses NoiseAssassin algorithms that were originally developed for the DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency). The algorithms, in conjunction with two microphones and the VAS, determine the noise surrounding the user and can then effectively remove the background noise. In short, the NoiseAssassin™ Technology detects when the user, then models the background noise and eliminates it. The results are a clear noise free conversation.

The Jawbone Design
Aliph believes that Bluetooth headsets are a considered jewelry. One look at the Jawbone II and one can see just how that belief has been put into practice. The Jawbone II has a invisible button which helps in keeping the surface of the headset clutter-free and simplistic. Instead of using visible buttons, it uses touch-surface technology. Just press lightly on the outside surface of the headset to operate the buttons. Smooth medical grade plastic and genuine leather earloops (removable) reinforce the Jawbone's jewelry look. On the outside the three-dimensional diamond texture creates an elegant look. The ergonomic inner surface provides a smooth and comfortable touch on the users face.
