After JL Audio developed the W7 and W6v2 subwoofers, they were able to use that same technology to create an affordable subwoofer with excellent bass.
The results of this is what we know now as the W1v2. So what is it that separates these subwoofer from other subs? Well, how about the DMA optimized motor system and the elevated frame-cooling system. Lets also include the FCAM (Floating Cone Attach Method) and the patent pending Surround Stress-Relief technology. But wait, theres more. The interlocking cone and dust cap, the vented reinforcement collar, the insert molded suspension / coil / terminal sub-assembly, and finally, the customizable trim ring. Wow... thats a lot of features for a subwoofer priced like this one!

A LOT of THUMP for the bucks....
I installed a pair of these JL Audio woofers in my 35 Plymouth Coupe. They sounded better than the engine (that's saying something). Very good value at a great price.

Small but Powerful
I have had 300 watt 10" Bazooka tube in the back of my 05 F-150 crew cab but it took up to much space so I bought the JL Audio 8W1v2-4. I built a sealed box for under the drivers side back seat and paired this baby eight with a 300 watt kicker amp. You talk about a good sound from a 8 " sub. It is accurate and it can hit better than the bazooka tube I had. Plus I have my full back seat again. If your looking to put a little extra thump to your car I would definitely buy this sub. It won't rattle your ear drums but it come real close, and thats what I was looking for. great sound for a great price.

works for mme
i bought two of these to replace a pair of roadmaster subs id bought years ago. They'r behind my seat, 1990 F150 regular cab, powered by an old sherwood 100 watt per channel amplifier. have to say they sound great. thinking now that i could of gotten away with only one. They hit harder and cleaner than the old road master. good price too.

Not a bad subwoofer for its price and rms range.
if your looking for something that gives a decent amount of bass without the huge price tag, this is your best go. Of course there are better subs out there, but money and value wise look no further
ive had them installed in my car for over a year now and theres no problems with them whatsoever.
