This all-weather driver features a blacked-out SoloKon polypropylene cone and a UV-resistant Santoprene surround with signature red double stitching, ensuring it maintains its acoustic integrity even in the rigorous conditions of off-road or marine installations.
To ensure consistent performance during high-output sessions, the 48CWRT84 incorporates Kicker’s Forced-Air Cooling, which allows the motor to operate significantly cooler than standard slim-line designs. By utilizing the movement of the cone to cycle air through the assembly, this system preserves signal clarity and protects the internal voice coils from thermal fatigue. Excellent Value

Very good sub
This was a replacement for the stock sub that came with my 2002 Suburban. It fit in the factory housing without issue, using sheetrock screws as the factory holes were not an exact match. It was a shallow mount which was what was required, but it doesn't skimp on sound.
The sound (or air movement) is great for an 8 inch, and is more than adequate for anyone not wanting to DJ parties from their car.
I would recommend to anyone in the market for an 8 inch sub.
