The simple cure is a pair of high-performance KS-Series Tweeters. Kicker’s louder, clearer KS-Series Tweeters provide a full range of size choices to boost your high-end and add live-performance realism. An 18dB/octave high-pass crossover accompanies the 1" KS25, and a 12dB/octave crossover works with the 3/4" KS20 and half-inch KS13. Thanks to a neodymium magnet and a specially-developed voice coil, they handle plenty of power which makes for louder, cleaner sound.
KS Series Tweeters have always been known for their versatility, and directional installation is the key for best results when enjoying music. With this in mind, KICKER has designed the tweeters to be mounted in one of three ways for optimal sound: flush, surface, or angled. Really impressed!
After running Alpine type R components for a while I blew the alpine tweeters and replaced them with these and am happy I did. The mounting options allowed me to experiment and place them in the perfect position for exactly the sound I wanted.
The detail of the highs specifically the cymbals in rock are vastly superior to the alpine type rs and they are certainly louder and clearer by far. It was the best 100 iv ever spent cause theyre great! Bottom line is they are small, powerful, have all mounting options and concert like clarity detail and volume!! Also, sonic helped me over the phone during my installation just cant beat em..
