3 way components are the way to go
I got some Alpine F1 6.5" midranges without tweeters or crossovers so I took a gamble on these. Boy did I make a great decision! Vibe Audio isn't a huge name, but they do make a quality product, they're like the Kicker of the UK. The crossovers they come with are worth the price alone, quality components, tweeter level switch, and they are really heavy and well made. The independent high-midrange is great, it's frequency is from 2500khz to roughly 12khz. The ring dome tweeter is something you would expect from polk or infinity that costs 3 times as much. The sound quality is incredible, they're not tinny or overly "bright" even when the tweeter is set to +3, just a real crisp sound that can make you blink sometimes. The sound is life like, and when you stack them on top of each other it seems like you're getting sound from all directions. I have all alpine type-r's and x's in my jeep so sound quality is very important to me, and I am not disappointed at all. I've heard top of the line components from boston acoustics, infinity, alpine, polk audio, focals, and bose, these vibe speakers can hold their own with any of them, I wouldn't say they're better but I would much rather use midranges I already had and spend 70 bucks for these than 400 for speakers that sound just as good. There is a reason that some of the old vintage 3 and 4 way speaker boxes sound better than the 2 way speakers do today, because each driver is dedicated to a certain frequency. These components are 3 way's and the sound can't be replicated by any 2 way speaker. I say get a quality set of midrange speakers for 50 bucks and buy these for 70 and you'll have some of the best sounding components around without breaking the bank. I don't like the term audiophile, they discount a speaker for what it isn't, I have a great ear for speakers too but I look for what a speaker is. These speakers might not live up to an audiophile's standards but anyone looking for great sound quality at a great price shouldn't look any further.

Spec-Tacular!!
These were recommended to my by my buddy Louis G. at Sonic and wow they fit the bill. I got them in, made fiberglass pods, did a wrap in 3M Dinoc carbon fiber vinyl and wow they sound awesome!! Tweeter sound is crisp, not shrill and for a tiny mid they are full and rich sounding, not muddy or distorted. Another great buy at Sonic. Grille for mid is a lil hard to keep on.
