great for my needs
i bought these primarily for the smooth bass they promise. i have absolutely no room at all for a sub in my single cab work truck 96 f-250. they have some decent bass for a coaxial speaker although the highs aren't so hot. i'm not a fan of silk tweets so maybe they might suit others. i amped these off a semi old school eclipse 4 channel delivering about 85 watts to each speaker. the install as others stated was brutal. be prepared for alot of work to make these fit in a ford truck. overall i would recommend them if your not afraid of fabricating. be careful with that crossover thing, as it is very delicate.

Their OK.... but not Great
I Bought these for rear fill to complement my front stage (massive rk6). I hooked them up to my ARC 300.2 running at 2ohms. I'm not really impressed with the quality of the sound. They do get pretty loud but i have to high pass them because after a couple months later they started rattling. Part of the tweeter stand broke and i just ripped it off and it seems to play fine now. Like stated previously these are bigger than your standard 6.5", however if you already have a subwoofer no need for these really.

Not really worth it
I bought these to replace my 6.5" Alpine Type R's because I wanted a bit more mid range thump. Wasn't really impressed with these right off the bat. For starters they would not fit in a standard 6.5" opening. Take a look at the bottom picture. There is hardly any mounting flange because the magnet/basket is so big. I had to make spacers to fit 6.5" speakers fit in a regular 6/5" speaker opening. As far as sound, they do have more bass than the Type R's, but with a subwoofer, you can't really notice it. They're not worth the extra cost considering they're a pain to install. Save your money and stick with Type R's.
