Alpine Type-S SPS-410

Okay for a month.

I had these for maybe a month or so they starting sounding crackly. So I got rid of them and got JL Audio 4" speakers. Way better sound quality and clarity.

Very nice speakers.

For the size they are a very clear sounding speaker even at higher volumes. I would recomend them for any upgrade.

Great fit for BMW x3

I had the stock, Business version audio installed in my x3 and the tiny Philips speakers were pitiful. Replaced all four door speakers with SPS-410 and the sound is 5 times better at least. The stock speakers were exactly half the weight of the 410s. Plenty of YouTube video instructions on how to do it. Changing the speakers alone was no more than an hour job. In my case it took several hours since the glue holding the door panel attached was old and dried out, so half of them came off. Keep some gorilla glue handy - it will fix them in no time. Very good deal.

Amazing Mid Speakers

Did a complete overhaul in my Infinti g37 coupe, got rid of the bose in with all Alpine factory. Bose had 4 3.5" mid speakers replaces with these 4" sps they reproduces vocals very accurately, i have them hooked up to one pdx m4 with 6 type r components and the HUX-800 audio processor the manage the sound and i am getting crystal clear sound using factory infiniti head unit.

Alpine Type S 4 inch

It really sucks if your car takes 4" front speakers because you cant expect much from such small speakers. But this was my case so i ordered them and they sound pretty clear and took a lot for them to distort so i was happy with my purchase. Do not expect any bass from these speakers because you wont get any nor is that what they were designed for. I now own a pair of 5.25" Alpine Type R's and they sound much better and have some bass so if your car has 4 inch factory speakers id reccomend trying to fit 5.25 inch speakers, its a big difference even though they are considerably more expensive.

Excellent Factory Replacement

Great to replace factory speakers. Very clear and crisp. Not very good with bass but It's a 4" speaker so dont expect that much.

These sound better than my $150 Hertz speakers. They sound so good off an Alpine deck and the mid bass is exceptional.

Great Replacement

I would defintely recommend these speakers (and have many times). I had a pair of the SPS-400's that went bad under warranty and Sonic replaced them with the new SPS-410's. They have great spatial imaging, are not bright (no intense highs that are tinnny), they handle the power from my Alpine amp nicely, and the price cant be beat. I regularly post on BMW fanzines and have done many installations on the BMW X3. These fit right in and sound great.

Very happy with these speakers

I replaced the 28 year old paper cone speakers in my 1986 Jaguar with four of these 4" two-way speakers. They're the biggest that would fit without modification. Being 4 ohm rather than the old 8's they're only getting about 10W each from the original head unit (Jaguar-branded Alpine). Nevertheless, my "system" now sounds fresh and crisp throughout the volume range and right down to the lowest frequencies these can produce, about 100Hz. So I can hear the bass being played but I sure can't feel it the way we're used to these days.

Therefore my next step is to add a head unit that can give me pre-amp out to a small sub such as the Kenwood KSC-SW11. That should be a perfect match for the Alpine SPS-410 speakers.

I would definitely recommend these speakers to anyone. Built well,great price,and they're Alpines!
