Good power, bad connections.
As much as I really want to like the Powerbag Instant Messenger bag, there are some major faults. First, the fact that it comes with an iPod connector that I will never use (reducing the connectors from 3 to 2). Second, the micro USB jack doesn't have enough power to charge a Galaxy Nexus. The USB port will charge it with my own cord, but that basically means that the 3-connector powerbag has one effective connector.
I knew about the iThing connector going in, but I assumed that the micro USB cable would have at least the 1 amp needed to charge my phone. I guess it's my fault for not digging deeper, but I really don't understand 1: why all three ports aren't interchangeable and 2: why both corded ports don't supply a minimum of 1 amp.
To fix it, I ended up chopping up the cables and adding my own MicroUSB cable where the iThing connector used to be. This works, but shouldn't be necessary. I don't recommend the bag for someone who's primary devices aren't Apple.
