The Elate SW woofers are Morel's solution for deep and accurate bass reproduction. Engineered to be utilized in a wide variety of applications, the Elate SW Subwoofers employ the new Uniflow aluminum die-cast chassis, which has a shallow aerodynamic design to minimize sound reflection distortion. The large-diameter 75mm (3.0") Hexatech voice coil supports a one-piece DPC shallow cone, enabling the loudspeaker profile to remain low while preventing cone breakup distortion at high levels. The Elate SW subwoofers combine outstanding power handling capability with a compact size.

Great sound, but pricey
The power handling is exceptional, the bass is tight and accurate, the design is very attractive.
I have this being used in a 3 way system with JL components as the mids and tweeters.
Something to note, the frequency response is listed as 25hz-4000hz.
The speaker really only sounds exceptional from 50hz-2200hz. This is something to keep in mind when picking a tweeter to go with this as the elate 2-way components are crossed over lower than most component systems. Also these speakers go low, but not low enough to entirely replace a larger sized subwoofer (no 6.5 inch can). These would work best in a 3-way system, with a subwoofer.
These are the best sounding 6.5 inch speakers I have owned, but also the most expensive, so I can't really say if there is something better out there for the money or not.
