WESTONE UM1 FIT
I must have small ear canals as the Westone are too big even after trying all the included ear pieces. They don't seal well and hurt my ear canals. When I can get them to seal they sound ok . Also the cable feels a little thin and flimsy. They were a great deal here and shipping was quick.
Disappointing for me.

After trying various other brands of in ear monitors, I kind of gave up finding one that had great full range sound, were easy to insert in my ears, and the cords didn't break after a few months of use. As a last resort, I bought the Westone UM1 in ear monitors. And I'm happy to say that overall I'm impressed with not only the sound quality, but the construction quality as well. The only issue I have is that they don't seem to fit in my ear canal very well. I've tried all the tips and either they are too fat or too long. The tips I'm using now take a lot of work to get them in deep enough to block out the external noise on stage and to get that deep rich bass sound from my electric guitar. Once I get them in, I hate having to take them out to talk to someone because it takes so much effort to get them seated back in my ears. (This may only be an issue for me. You may not have the same problem.) They are very comfortable once they are in and I've not had any issues with ear fatigue. The sound quality is excellent and the wires to each unit appear sturdy. I get good clear bottom end without a lot of boominess when playing Bass and great clean and distortion sounds on my various guitars. I use these with my church worship team and in my home studio. I've been playing Bass and Guitar for over 40 years. Wish these had been available when I started back in the 70's. The price that I got them for from Sonic Electronix was too good to pass up. I've purchased other items from Sonic Electronix and have been very happy with the price, speed of shipping, and quality of their products. I'd recommend buying the Westone UM1. Especially from these guys.
