The Plus One cone design provides incredibly smooth mid-range sounds for each speaker while the edge driven textile dome tweeters produce crystal clear highs. The Reference X speakers were designed with a vented motor assembly to reduce heat buildup to allow the speakers to maintain a higher output level for a longer period of time.
