Does not fit Gen 2 4Runner
These 5.25" speakers do not fit in the OEM speaker box in the rear side panels of the 1993 4Runner (2nd generation). Modifications will be necessary. However, they do sound great for the price.

Sounds good so far
I've always liked Power Acoustik, especially their highs and mids.
I've been a bass head since the early 1990's and have various systems over the years. Ranging from, 100w beginner all the way to 300,000w pro comp systems. I have since calmed down.
My wife asked me to upgrade the stock sound system in her 1996 Monte Carlo. I installed a JLw7 12 in a 35hz tuned labrynth ported box. Which slams the trunk, (Okay,Okay the whole car) only issue was couldn't hear anything but the boom. Time to keep going....right?
That's what I did. I installed these 5.25 in the doors wired to the head unit. (For now) they sound okay. They'll sound even better after I receive the 400w 4 channel amplifier and 5 channel graphic equalizer I ordered to run with them. I can't wait to hear this system once done.
There are some pros and cons of these speakers that I have found so far.
Pros: Very inexpensive.
Great sound quality (underpowered of course)
Great looks.
Seems tough enough.
Cons: ( more like personal cons)
Not paper cones
Now mounting gaskets (I made my own)
Slide clip leads (I soldered)
These things sound great for the price and should be perfect with the right tuning.
Thanks, Sonic.
