The XS-GSW121D, specifically, is a 12" Dual Voice Coil subwoofer driver intended to deliver larger, yet controlled, "boomy" bass. It is also able to accomplish this by maximizing the overall build quality, delivering a very solid 520 Watts RMS with an excursion peaking at 8.9mm. Maximize Power Delivery

The XS-GSW121D 5-way gold plated binding post provide secure wire connections for high power handling. These terminals are capable of accepting a 10-gauge speaker wire to maximize power (Read: Wattage) delivery and performance. By accepting a slightly larger wire than most traditional 12" drivers, the XS-GSW121D is able to deliver more power than a traditional 12" driver. Moreover, the gaps in the stamped steel frame allow the driver to breath, greatly reducing the risk of burning out the subwoofer motor.
