By aiming the drivers toward the floor, Kicker uses the vehicle’s cabin as an acoustic boundary to thicken the low-end while protecting the cones from heavy gear.
The L7T square subwoofers are the stars here, offering nearly 20% more surface area than a standard round 12", which translates to significantly higher SPL (volume) and deeper frequency extension. To manage the massive 1,200W RMS power requirement, the system features Forced-Air Cooling, which pulls heat away from the 4-layer voice coils to ensure stable performance during long, high-output sessions. The enclosure is a tank—built from 3/4" MDF with extensive internal bracing and a tough carpeted finish that easily handles the weight of tools, groceries, or equipment stacked right on top.
