Looking for a great in-dash stereo that you can control your iPod from? Then check out this Pioneer DEH-2100IB. When hooked up with the CD-i200, this unit becomes a powerful iPod playback machine! Connect an iPod nano or iPod to the new DEH-2100IB, and you can control menus, shuffle function, songs, podcasts and audiobook chapters in the iPod through the head unit interface as quickly and easily as you would on the iPod itself. Don’t worry about your iPod battery running low on power because this direct connection also recharges the unit during playback. Not only does this unit offer playback of an iPod, but it also offers great playback features. The Link Search function enables users to, while listening to a specific artist, hold the "List" button down to pop up folders containing that specific artist. The passenger control mode allows the passenger to use the iPod directly to browse and select music, while connected to the head unit for playback. The unit also features a random button on the faceplate to shuffle through the iPods songs. Mix things up a little and hear something new.
The Pioneer DEH-2100IB Has many other features that make this unit shine amid the other units. One is the front-panel auxiliary input for connection to any other device with a 3.5mm output. The built-in MOSFET amplifier handles a max of 50 watts x 4 channels and pushes 22 watts to 4 channels on average. You will hear a difference after this unit is hooked up. Good for starters
This is a good stereo. It has not let me down in the 5 months I have owned it. I can't really complain about it other than the fact that the ATT button is ONLY on the remote, so if you don't have your remote handy, you cant 'mute' your stereo quickly. Also, the pause feature is buried within a menu, so it is not easy to stop your music.
Other than that, the stereo produces quality sound and powers a pair of Blaupunkt 5x7s easily along with some stock 6x9s

the only problem i have had with it is when i switch the ipod control to the deck, it says error 11 and i have to turn the ignition off. its just annoying.

Decent Buy, overall good
Ive had this head unit for about a year now and I love it. The only thing that has gone wrong with it is the aux port is a little loose and cuts in and out sometimes. I have to have the cord in the perfect position for it not to cut in and out. Also theres only single rca hookups in the back.

Great value
I installed this cd deck in my friends 96 mustang and it just completed his dash. This deck looks as amazing as it sounds. the sound quality it provided for the factory speakers was even amazing the bass is extremely clear and accurate and the highs are perfectly balanced. This cd deck is a perfect buy for just going simple and smart.

Awesome, inexpensive deck
Bought this to replace an Aveo stock stereo mainly to get iPod connectivity. It sounds much clearer and offers high-end features in a very affordable package. Somewhat steep initial learning curve in button use. I would recommend this to anyone with a tight budget but a big appetite for tech and convenience. It is still new so I can't really comment on its durability, but its been great so far.
