Pure Power!
These speakers are amazingly loud and clear on sound quality. I put four of these in my 2018 Honda Civic Hatchback, paired with a Taramp DS 2000x4 at 225 rms, 4 ohms per channel. That's 900 RMS total. Yeah, I know, a bit of overkill there, better to have more than less. Besides the power handling. These speakers are stylish with a huge magnet and a 96db. That's loud per watt. Also being water resistant helps. Unfortunately, during the time I was installing these speakers. My phone was stolen and could not upload the video I had made, but a single shot photo was all I have. My pro's and con's. The pro's: Heavy magnet, dependable spider with a 1.5 voice coil, bullet tweeter, wide frequency response range, and strong terminal connectors. THe Con's: The magnet is powerful. I could not take the rubber sleeve off due to so much metal inside the door panel. Not a good idea to due. Honda's door speaker hole was to small. So, I had to
Add an adapter that brings the speaker out further to compensate for the magnet. Even with the plastic adapter was not enough space to clear the connectors as well. Be prepared if anyone planes to use these in a Honda. For me. This is my project car. Doing mods is normal. Once I get my phone back, I will do a speaker demo at full tilt. "We Like It Loud."
Update. I got a new phone. However... I was having tweeter issues at near full rms. The warranty department guy, J.P., tells me to give them time to break in; makes sense. Overall, these speakers kick butt at high volume. But the tweeter thing I'm concerned with. Regardless, they are worth every dollar I paid for them. Now, I need 8" for increased mids to low.
