The NVX VS-Series is the perfect subwoofer solution. Designed from the ground up, the series utilizes excellent engineering found in the higher end NVX subwoofers. It features a non pressed treated paper cone with a custom tooled and optimized PP dust cap. Keeping the cone under control is a high-roll foam surround that is specially treated to give you maximum excursion. The VSW122V2 uses a 2.5" high-temperature aluminum voice coil that provides maximum current distribution and has a power handling range of 450-600 watts RMS. The subwoofer also features a shorting ring which is a conductive aluminum ring placed in the air gap between the pole piece and the voice coil former to reduce inductance, which in turn reduces distortion and allows the subwoofer to accurately play a higher part of the bass spectrum. All of these elements combined produce tight, deep and accurate bass that is sought after by bass-heads and audiophiles. CEA-2031 Compliant: All CEA-2031 compliant loudspeakers adopt the same testing and measurement methods so comparing them side by side is easy. Loudspeakers include car speakers and subwoofers. The Consumer Electronics Association created new testing and measurement methods for mobile loudspeaker systems that define test procedures for rating the performance and physical size of speakers. This is important because you can now compare different speakers on the same playing field. Any manufacturers who adopt the CEA-2031 logo product mark can be compared evenly to other speaker manufacturers with the same mark.

I thought this box would be kinda bad when i purchased but its holding about 700+ watts at bay with the Nvx vsw dual 4 ohm sub. When i inspected the box before sub install I had more confidence with it. I did upgrade the terminal cup since i was running over 700+ watts to a 600 watt sub. Its holding up good so far and matches very well with the nvx vsw.

This subwoofer is AWESOME! I'm even saying this after trying both the XQW and VCW 12". I love the XQW but it is too big to fit in my Underseat, 1.85 cu ft vented Dodge Ram Fox Acoustics box, so I went with the VCW. I like precision and SQ, and the VCW wasn't responsive enough. It is DEFINITELY an SPL subwoofer and can move massive amounts of air. I was hesitant to try this one since it's a lesser model than those two, but I am SUPER pleased with it's tight response for rock music and it's booming sound for rap and electronic. For it's price it is a contender with models in the $200 price range!

Of 2 ohms.. (Pushing 600 watts to each woofer). So far i have no regrets about my purchase.
Sure you can spend alot more on woofers but for my application for my daily driver these are great.
