Sealed Enclosure
The NVX XMDFS102 has a sealed subwoofer enclosure design. This means that the air is contained and does not enter or exit the box. This creates a tighter, more accurate sound than a ported or vented enclosure. Because a sealed enclosure is competing less with air, the subwoofer enclosure tends to have a better transient response which allows the system to respond more quickly to sudden changes. A sealed enclosure also offers improved acoustic suspension and cone control, which reduces distortion and improves accuracy.
Made in the USA
The NVX XMDFS102 enclosure is made in the USA instead of overseas. This means that all X series enclosures are not only constructed with the highest quality materials but designed to pass the highest quality and safety standards. The XMDFS102 enclosure is also constructed with the highest quality medium-density fiberboard, rather than traditional plywood. This means that the wood will not bend or warp over time ensuring that the enclosure produces the same consistent high-quality sound.
Precise Construction
The XMDFS102 is also constructed with true-to-size 3/4 -inch wood. While many competitors claim to be constructed with 3/4-inch wood when in actuality it is 5/8-inches. This means all X-series enclosures are not only durable but produce the most accurate sound possible. The XMDFS102 features CNC cutting which is an automated process that cuts through material such as wood with pinpoint accuracy. This helps ensure that all measurements and dimensions are true-to-size to achieve the most accurate fitment possible.

NICE BASIC BOX, BUT.......
I BOUGHT TWO NVX 10 INCH SUBS, SO I DECIDED TO JUST BUY THIS BASIC BOX CONSIDERING THE SPECS MATCH UP, AND ITS THE SAME BRAND AS THE SUBS. GOT THE BOX AND SPEAKERS ON THE SAME DAY, WENT TO INSTALL THE SUBS INTO THE BOX, AND THEY DON'T FIT. WHAT!? THE HOLE IS NOT BIG ENOUGH FOR THE SUBS TO SIT FLUSH, THEY WOULD NEED TO BE ROUTED OR CUT TO BE BIGGER. NORMALLY THATS NOT AN ISSUE, BUT I BOUGHT THESE SPECIFICALLY AND DO NOT FEEL I SHOULD HAVE TO DO THIS WHEN THEY CLEARLY SHOULD HAVE FIT. SONIC WAS COOL ABOUT THE RETURN AND GAVE ME NO ISSUES AT ALL. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ALIVE!

Not bad for the money.
I really didn't feel like making a new box so decided to order one. For the money it's not terrible, however it was only sealed in corners that are easily seen. All the corners need to be sealed on the front side of the box which I did.
The connectors are functional but wouldn't recommend if you want to push a lot of power since they have small connections inside the box.
After the fixes and modifications to the connectors I'm happy, mostly cause I have a decent box without building it myself.
