Completely happy
Great sound coming from these speakers. I had a little bit of a rough time tweaking the sound from the tweeters but once I figured that out, the sound coming from these things is really good, especially for the price. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for great sound at this price range.

These speakers are probably the best ones you will be able to get for the price, they are clear, crisp and quite load with the right amplifier pushing them. No need for external crossovers because they are built into the speakers themselves. If you are in the market for great door speakers and can't break the bank buying them, buy these! Just one word of caution and that is make sure of the dimensions in your door speaker hole, from edge to edge to edge these speakers are 6.75 in, the speaker diameter itself is about 6.25 in. I put these in the front doors of a 1997 Lexus Es300, perfect fit!

This is not my first set of Rockford's. As an Audiophile of 20+ years, these speakers perform withe the performance of a Grand Symphony in the comfort of my truck. Adding NVX sound dampening in the doors add clarity and richness to the overall quality of these speakers. While these are the most expensive audiophile speakers available, they definitely are among the overall performing speakers on the market today.

I bought these speakers thinking they would be a good upgrade till I could step up to some focal or jl. I have 75 watts rms on them and they are crystal clear with a nice midbass punch. I now see no need to upgrade any further as these speakers compare nicely to sets I paid twice as much for. Can you buy better speakers?yes , would you really need to, no.

put these in a chevy 3500 crew cab for a customer. used these for the front doors in the stock location and used the stock tweeter mount. easy install and nice crisp clear sound running off the stock chevy radio. plenty of window clearance. plenty of mid's and highs which is what these are for. add on the same series speakers for the rear (got the 6 3/4 coaxials) and a powered 10" sub and this customer is happy.

installed in 2010 Jeep Wrangler Unlimted. I used these in the dash and replaced the factory tweeters. The 6.75 fit in the OEM pods with no problems. I ran the tweeter wire through the rubber plug in the back. I also stuffed the pod with polly fill. I did have to mod the OEM tweeter bracket (the tombstone as it's known) to hold the new one. I used a dremel to open the hole up so the smallest bracket snapped into place. I did use a small amount of super glue to hold it in so it wouldn't pop out. The sound is awesome. I have the Fosgate P1000X5 powering everything.

Replaced door speakers in a 97 jeep grand cherokee laredo hooked up to a Kenwood head deck and sounds great. Also would go nice with subs.

These replaced OEM components in the front of a Suzuki Kizashi sedan (powered by OEM stereo). The RF speakers are vastly superior quality vs the OEM speakers. My hope was for better bass/midbass and clarity. Well, these do have more bass, more midbass, and better clarity. The biggest improvement is in the upper/trebble though. The RF tweeters blows away the OEM tweeters. I think that the woofers might be capable of generating more bass with an aftermarket stereo or amp, but they are fine for my purposes with the relatively low-power OEM headunit (maybe 7 watts per channel). The bass, while improved, is nothing to write home about. I don't necessarily blame the speakers though. I think the car door design and low power stereo are more likely the limiting factor in my case. ... and they DO have more bass - for sure. It's just not like having a subwoofer pounding away. :) There's enough bass to vibrate the rearview mirror if I turn it up though. Given the price, quality, and sound improvement, I would highly recommend these. Also, with the required spacer rings for my application, the 6.75" components dropped into the 6.5" hole without modification. One word of warning: the tweeter spade terminals (on the lead wires) aren't fully insulated for some reason. Insulate and isolate them from each other if you value your stereo (or fuses as the case may be). Flopping around in the door panel, they could ground out or contact each other and short circuit. It's a simple fix with shrink tube or even electrical tape, but it should be done.
