First 15" subwoofer
This is my first fifteen inch subwoofer. I usually run 12" subwoofers. Nvx has been my go to for amplifiers, wiring kits, subwoofers, and even subwoofer boxes. They are so affordable and the moment I turned on my car this subwoofer had me catching my breath. I am no audiophile whatsoever and usually run around 400 rms. Overall, great sub if you want good clean bass.
Can't be beaten for the price
My previous sub was an Audiobahn 15 one of their entry level 15s whichever one handles 500 RMS. Anyways this sub blows it out of the water overall It hits lower, plays louder, and is cleaner. The sub is currently housed in a 2.3 cubic foot sealed enclosure. However I was a little concerned about its efficiency compared to my previous sub especially considering I only have a 400 watt RMS amp at the moment. At 35hz or lower frequencies nearing the woofer resonant frequency. The lows are a lot stronger on the same amount of power and louder. The mid bass is nice and clean and very tamed. Although between about 45hz and 80hz roughly the bass is kinda anemic, very clean and there's a nice roll off, but not very strong Compared to my previous sub. So I'd say this sub while excellent, is situational. If you listen to rap, hip hop or watch movies and plan on using it as a home theater sub perfect, flawless couldn't get better for the money. Even for jazz which tends to have bass in the 45hz to 80 hz region a lot it's still very clean tight and strong however if you listen to rock or heavy metal or jazz music that doesn't have a strong bassline present you're going to find the sub quite weak unless you have a lot of power to throw at it so at that point I wouldn't recommend it. But like I said overall excellent sub.
