Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Ensure both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are ON on your phone. If it fails, "Forget" the radio from your phone's Bluetooth settings and delete the phone from the Pioneer's device list. Restart both and re-pair via Bluetooth to trigger the Wi-Fi link.
This happens if the Light Green parking brake wire isn't properly triggered. For safety, Pioneer requires a "Double Pulse" (On-Off-On). Ensure this wire is connected to the parking brake side, or use a bypass module for easier DIY testing.
If your car has a factory-amplified system (like Bose or JBL), you must connect the Blue/White "System Remote Control" wire from the Pioneer harness to the "Amp Turn-On" wire in your vehicle's wiring interface to activate the amp.
First, verify the camera's RCA is in the Brown "RC IN" jack, not the Yellow Video In. Second, ensure the Violet/White Reverse Lead is tapped into your vehicle's reverse light wire so the head unit knows when to switch views.
Ensure the Orange/White "Illumination" wire is connected to your vehicle's dimmer circuit. Then, go to Settings > Display and ensure the "Dimmer Trigger" is set to "Auto" so it reacts to your headlight switch.
Check the External Microphone connection. It must be plugged into the dedicated 3.5mm mic port on the rear. If you used an adapter to keep a factory mic, it may not be compatible; use the included Pioneer mic for the best results.
Download the latest firmware from Pioneer’s website onto a FAT32 formatted USB drive. Plug it into the rear USB-C port (using an adapter if needed). Go to System Settings > System Information and select "Update" to start the process.
To use your car's original USB port, you typically need a vehicle-specific USB Retention Adapter. Plug that adapter into the Pioneer's rear USB-C port. Without this adapter, you must run the included USB extension into your glovebox.
