Why choose the NVX VE-GM-SLVDCG3-D10S enclosure instead of a universal box?

This dual 10" enclosure is specifically CNC-cut for 2014–2018 Silverado/Sierra Double Cabs (Extended Cab). It fits the unique floor contour under the rear seat, providing 1.4 cu. ft. of airspace that a boxy universal unit simply can't match.

I placed the box in position, but it feels loose. How do I secure it?

Ensure it is pushed firmly against the rear seat riser. To prevent it from sliding on the GM carpet, apply NVX SDRLR20 sound deadening to the floor. This adds grip and kills metal floor vibrations for a much more solid installation.

I’m hearing a whistling or air-leak sound after installing my subwoofer. What could cause this?

This is usually air escaping from the terminal cup or the subwoofer mounting flange. Apply NVX SBP10 gasket foam tape to create a 100% airtight seal, which is vital for the punchy, accurate bass response of this sealed design.

I installed everything but there is no sound from the subwoofer. What should I check?

Inspect the internal binding post connections. If using the factory GM radio, you’ll need a high-quality line output converter like the NVX XPLOC2 to convert the factory speaker signal into a clean RCA signal for your amplifier.

The enclosure fits the space, but my trunk floor panel doesn’t close. What should I do?

In the Double Cab, ensure the seat is fully latched. If it won't lock down, your subs may exceed the 5.75" mounting depth. Using shallow-mount subs like the NVX NSW104v2 ensures the seat frame does not compress the subwoofer surround.

My subwoofer is working, but the bass sounds weak or hollow. How can I improve it?

Weak bass often indicates phase cancellation; swap the (+) and (-) wires on one subwoofer. To improve low-end extension in this 1.4 cu. ft. space, add Polyfil to simulate a larger enclosure and smooth out the bass frequency response.

Is there a pre-loaded version of this custom-fit enclosure available to make installation easier?

Yes. The LVE-GM-SLVDCG3-D10S is the pre-loaded version. It comes with two 10" NVX subwoofers already installed and wired to a 1-ohm load, delivering a perfectly tuned 700W RMS "drop-in" solution for your 2014–2018 Silverado/Sierra.
