Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Check the Phase switch (0°/180°). In larger 12" enclosures, sound waves can cancel out your cabin speakers. Flip the switch to the position that sounds fuller and punchier; this ensures the sub is moving in sync with your system.
This 12" model pulls more current than smaller units. If your ground wire is on paint or a loose seat bolt, the voltage will drop and trigger protection. Sand the chassis to bare, shiny metal and ensure the ground bolt is tight.
Before assuming it's blown, check the Gain and Bass Boost. Excessive Bass Boost causes "clipping," which sounds like a rattle. Turn Bass Boost to 0 and adjust the Gain until the sound is clean. Also, ensure the mounting brackets are tight.
If using the Auto Turn-on feature, the unit may stay active if your car has "Smart" charging or delayed accessory power. Switch the toggle to "REM" and run a dedicated wire to a switched 12V fuse to force it to shut down with the key.
Unplug the remote cable from the unit. If the bass suddenly gets much louder, the remote or cable may be pinched. If the volume stays the same, ensure your head unit’s subwoofer settings are turned up so the remote has a signal to control.
