Extremely disappointed...
Image Dynamics has always had a terrific reputation, so I didn't hesitate to buy these woofers based on that. To my dismay, these things are cheap garbage.
I purchased two CTX124's. On the first one, the cone and basket were misaligned so that the mounting holes in the rubber gasket didn't line up with the holes in the steel basket. On top of that, there was no glue between the basket and the surround.
Unforgivable quality control.
The second seemed to be assembled correctly, but the plastic logo 'cover' was broken off into pieces and the sticker underneath was peeling off.
I can't comment on how they sound since as soon as I opened up the boxes and inspected the subs, they got boxed back up again and are awaiting an RMA from Sonicelectronix.
Come on ID, Eric Stevens has gone, has your commitment to excellence gone too???

Great Subwoofer
Installed these a few days ago and was SEVERELY disappointed. They really didn't get deep like i wanted them to, but after doing a little tuning and realizing that the crossover on my Amp was a lot more "sub" friendly than the head unit, these things sing! I am very happy. Running 2 in a ported box off of 400 watts from a Powerbass 5 channel amp. I definetly would recommend them.

awesome
just installed this sub and it sounds great. still tuning my system, no clue what im doing really, but so far it sounds really awesome. it can hit some very deep bass, on faster beats it keeps up very well. only pushing 150 watts and the tuning isnt right, but inside the car the sub fills it with deep rich clean sounding bass. Cant really hear outside of the car that much, which i like, inside though it awesome.
no cons at this point, just installed. but i heard great things about this company. also heard these subs and being lable as musical subs. more sq than spl.
got this sub with a box packaged by sonic, shipping is awesome. 3 days total, for free. box had a mark on it showing bare wood, no problem really.
