Why should I choose a sealed enclosure like the NE101P over its ported counterpart (NE101S)?

NE101P is great for peak SPL and room-shaking rumble. The ported slot releases air pressure and amplifies the low-end. This is ideal for large SUVs and trucks and when you want thunderous bass. However, if you want a tight bass, NE101S is the way to go.

Will a high-excursion 10" sub with a massive magnet hit the back panel of NE101P?

Most likely not. For example, the NE101P has a generous mounting depth of up to nearly 14". That’s enough clearance for even the beefiest competition-grade magnets to breathe without slamming against the rear wall.

I love Hip-Hop but only have room for one sub. Will this enclosure hit the low notes?

It’s tuned to 38Hz, the sweet spot for low-frequency extension. It provides the resonance needed to make a single 10-inch sub really shake your rearview mirror while still being small enough for most hatchback installs.

Can I add more Polyfill to the NE101P?

We don't recommend. NVX includes just enough to help the box act about 15-20% larger sound-wise. Adding too much can actually choke the sub's movement. Only add more if your sub's specs significantly exceed the box's actual internal volume.

What’s with the choice to build NE101P with rounded corners?

It’s for durability and fitment. Sharp MDF corners under carpet are prone to bruising or chipping during installation. Rounded edges prevent the carpet from tearing and make it much easier to slide the box into tight trunk gaps.

Great Sound

I have a JL10w3v3-2 and started with the Atrend 10SQL. I used that for about 3-4 months until I started wanting something more. This exceeded my expectations. I don’t see myself switching back to the sealed box. This box is near manufacturers spec for cubic ft dimensions. I was worried about losing the punch or getting sloppy but there is none of that. It almost seems to have more punch than the sealed. Not as good with the kick drum bass as the sealed but the pros outweigh that only con. I don’t even mind losing that extra space since it sounds so good. Everything arrived as advertised. Beats me spending the time and money to build one myself.

Decent speaker box.

I've had my single 10 inch sub in several speaker boxes that I've made throughout the years . This sub box outperforms any of them that I've built so far.

Fairly priced for what it is a

Only downside as you can tell the carpet will easily peel back from the corners of the box. Might have to get some corner protectors.

Overall very pleased with this product
