Introducing the Pioneer AVH-P4200DVD multimedia receiver. This incredible unit is brand new to the 2010 Pioneer in-dash car stereo line-up and offers some amazing features that are guaranteed to satisfy anyone. Like most of the new AVH line, the P4200DVD has integrated breakthrough touch screen controls that are intuitive and easy to use. It has seamless operation with touch screen controls that act just the way you want them to. No more getting frustrated with the stereo not doing what you want it to. A well-designed graphical user interface is as pleasing visually as it is simple to operate. With touch controls similar to that of an iPhone or iPod Touch, the user will find the AVH-P4200DVD very user-friendly.
A Multimedia CenterThis car stereo will become the central entertainment unit for the car. In doing so, it will offer the best multimedia options available to the best A/V experience. The rear of the unit has 3 sets of 4V preamp output that are ready to be connected to an amplifier and produce accurate, clear sound. A powerful 8-band EEQ parametric and graphical equalizer provides an entirely new level of audio tuning. Complete control each band allows fine-tuning that not many other car stereos are able to offer. Inside the double DIN chassis, Pioneer has incorporated their famous Advanced Sound Retrieval technology to restore the lost frequencies of music when they are compressed digitally. When turned on, your digital music will sound bright and clear, just as they were meant to be heard. A Region 1 DVD player offers excellent playback of DVDs, as well as DVD-R, DVD+R, and DivX Movies.
Add-On ExpandabilityIf the main AVH-P4200DVD isn’t enough, Pioneer offers many add-on modules that give this receiver endless possibilities. GPS navigation with Eco-Route guidance is possible with the add-on navigation unit. Both SIRIUS and XM Radio are possible with the respective module and subscription service. Digital HD Radio is possible with the HD radio tuner from Pioneer. Full control from the steering wheel is also made possible. A rear view camera input allows for a back up camera to be connected. The Unit!!!!!
A friend told me to buy this unit and I told him I had a Sony that did everything I needed. He let me drive his car for a day and I ordered one that night! It has so much eq, head room (running @ 10 out of 40), features galore, rear usb so you can put nano in glove compartment, it is unbelievable all the things you can do with this unit. My system will now rival anybody doing competition!
Pro: Everything about this unit.

Best stereo ever owned
i had the previous model and this new version is awesome. i love the fact that u can add on navigation in the future. there is no CD changer controls but i guess CD's are a thing of the past. the rear audio video output is great for the screens in the rear seats for the kids. great screen size and control.

Bought this unit a couple weeks ago & it's great, I installed it in my 07 Yukon Denali. Works great w/my 4gen iTouch touch screen is fast response it's a must have if you own a truck or suv.

Excellent Head Unit
Does everything I wanted it to do. A little slow when scrolling the iPod menu, but not enough to get annoying. Good quality video and sound, easy to use equaliser and iPod interface. Perfect for any cars stereo system.

Good buy
The headunit sometimes has issues connecting with my ipod. Power cycle both headunit and ipod and its good. Very easy control and the colors are awesome. Overall for the price and features you just cant beat it.
