Good, but spotty sometimes
I bought this product about a year ago and installed in on my 2006 Ford Explorer. I bought this over others like it mainly because you can use the seek, shuffle, etc. buttons on the stock Ford HU to control the ipod. It worked well for a couple of weeks with no problems to speak of. However, after a few weeks, it began to act like it had a short in the circuitry. I tried removing the radio and pushing all of the wires in the harness to make sure they weren't loose, but no luck. Eventually it got to the point where my radio would no longer dim when the lights of the car were on, and it also would not stay on after the engine was turned off (as it does normally), also at a specific point, my radio would just cut off at random times while driving down the road. I eventually removed it and decided to deal with it later. I will probably try it again soon, but so far I'm not to happy that I spent a decent amount of money for something that isn't very reliable.

Great Product, some minor issues
This product was not too difficult to install, and is a great addition for long road trips. Works very well, with a couple of minor issues. Allows access to playlists, shuffle, etc. Difficulty with audiobooks from iTunes. Cannot seem to access from the menu. Must start book using undocked ipod, then plug in and go. If you change to music, you can't get the audiobook back using the menu. Also very occasionally does not restart after shutting off ignition. Most times that has happened to me, I have found undocking, turning on the iPod, and docking again to be the quickest remedy. Overall a great product for music on the road. I do not use an iPhone or iPad so cannot comment on those.
