Well worth the $....

Replaced all door speakers on my 2001 tahoe ls non bose with these dudes. Man they are awesome. Didnt hook up to an amp just ran em off the aftermarket sony deck that i have installed. When i first got em that radio had a short so had to hook em up to original factory radio and they still sounded pretty dam good.But...when you hook em back up to an aftermarket radio they really come to life. These speakers are just for use as your mids and highs they dont have any bass to em. If you want a quality speaker for reasonable price....Buy these....

Bang for the Buck

I got these as I did many reviews on 5.5 inch speakers and have had a pair of the 4 way poineers and the 3 way boss speakers. I put these in my 03 Lancer in the front doors because I needed something better than the OEMs. As with most aftermarket speakers nothing is a direct fit. I just had to drill a few holes in the door for the speakers to mount, easy and simple. Hooked them up and retuned my poineer deck. Well, sound wise there not bad but not great. The mids are so so and the highs are not the best. I can say that the 4 way poineers were def better sound wise but too much highs. And, the 3 way boss speakers were junk. Really all these speakers need is just alittle more mid and tweet and these would be perfect. I think next set for the back I'll try a set of 3 way soundstreams to see. I do say though bang for the buck these are probably one of the better speakers sonicelectronix has in the 5.5 inch speaker category at this price point. Save up and yeah you can have better sound, but not at this price. I'm saving up for a component system.

not bad

I got these to repace my mom's stock speakers in her 04 toyota Corolla and for the price there not bad.They improve the mids and highs by a little.the bass sounds smother but not louder.But they work good as mids and highs.I'll be upgrading to kicker cs later but for now there good.

Don't let the price of these speakers fool you. They are extremely clear sounding. Have a great clean sound to them. Seems to be made well. Strong cone. Plus the spider grille covers they come with look really neat. They don't have a lot of bass (which are what subs are for) but the mids and highs are amazing! I ordered them on Sunday and received them on Tuesday. Super Fast shipping Thanks Sonic will be ordering more soon!
