Like many of the higher end Grado headphones, this set features a vented diaphragm and a non-resonant air chamber. Best sound quality per dollar ratio
These are, beyond any shadow of a doubt, the finest headphones I have ever owned (disclaimer, I have never spent more than 100 USD on a pair). The treble is crisp, the bass has punch, the overall experience is like pouring milk and honey into your ears.
The only part of this headphone experience that can be fouled by personal preference is the leather head strap, and the overall cord design. Thankfully, I like both of these things, and have literally no complaints about this product.
If you spend 100 USD or less on a pair of headphones, and it isn't these, you made a mistake.

Great value.
Very light and very comfortable while delivering a pretty linear response. I use these while playing my Roland TD-20 e-drums and they do a great job of revealing the timbre and detail of the cymbals as well as the punch of the kick drum.

Outstanding headphones
I bought these headphones about 6 months ago.
I had owned a pair of USB headphones before these and when they reached the end of their use i knew i wanted to upgrade and pay the money for higher quality sound.
I read countless reviews online and everything seemed to point back to Grado who really seem to set the standard in each price-range.
I loved the SR60is and after about 5 months i decided to upgrade again to the SR225is because i was impressed with the 60s. They sound amazing.
Now some things i will point out, they are a bit warm but for the kind of music i like that's perfect. The open ear design does leak some sound so if you like blasting your music at full volume and destroying your ability to hear, other people around you will definitely be able to hear.
I would have liked for a metal encased tip to allow for an easier replacement for the tip, but as i was always very careful with them they never broke and i'm sure they would have lasted a decade.
I recommend these to everyone i see looking to buy headphones. I have had my friends who own $350 pairs of bose headphones drop their jaw in response to the quality of the sound. I've been able to talk several people out of buying skullcandy headphones.
That being said, i like my sr225is much better. ;)

Good, I guess.
I'm a novice when it comes to high end quality headphones. This is my first pair of good "cans." Truthfully, I just wanted a good pair of headphones to play on my handheld Nintendo 3ds and Playstation VITA. I don't think either of those two systems were good testers of the Grado's sound quality, so I'll just review the comfort and style of the headphones.
Look, not bad. They feel sturdy. You can judge yourself from online photos. It doesn't collapse for travel, though the ears do turn inward, allowing for some travel and storage concession.
I don't find the foam ear coverings comfortable, which is my largest complaint. It's hard to forget you're wearing headphones, as you can always feel the foam against your ears.
Ease of use gets a 3, since I always have to uncoil the L and R "y" part of the cord before I place it on my ears.
Next time I'll go $100+ for headphones. No more foam ear coverings and better ease of use.

Grado for life
I nearly S*&% myself when I heard these for the first time. $80? they sound better than my Audio-Technica ATH ANC7b for sure. Sennheiser's got nothing on you Grado. Best sound quality!!!!

Just amazing
After 6 months of using the Grado SR60i headphones, I am still amazed at the sound quality. Some have reported that they were not very comfortable; I guess this is subjective, and after a few hours most brands will 'heat' your ears anyways.
Looks is a matter of taste, and personally I love them. But if they were of another style I couldn't care less because for me the sound is of primary importance. And they certainly SHINE is this regard.
It's too early to know if they are durable, but with minimal care, I don't see any reason why they would not last.
Strongly recommended!

Good Value, Not Especially Durable
I tend to break headphones easily, so I like to buy inexpensive ones. These headphones have an excellent sound for the price. They have the typical drawbacks of on-ear headphones - no sound isolation and not as comfortable as over-ear (although really quite comfortable for the type). In about a month, the left earphone fell off the headset. This was easily fixed, but definitely downgrades the durability in my view.
