Sound of these headphones is really good. But don't forget also to buy jack to mini-jack connector, if you're not going to use amplifier.

I love it!
This headphone is a great start to the audiophile world. The value for money is excellent as the QP 400 is in the same league with the Sennheiser HD 600. The sound is a little darker than the 600 but not as slow as the 600 or the 650. The design is late 80's/ early 90's, but the comfort of wearing this headphone is the best. Really, it's the best! You don't feel any pressure on your head.
Due to the high impendance it is not the easiest to drive, so you need a good source.
Unfortunately MB Quart stopped producing high-class headphones, but only the name changed. Now it's German Maestro with the same engineers as MB Quart that keeps on producing these headphones with the same design and specifics. There are even some new models.
