The PlateCam SV-5420.IR is a special designed full-frame license plate mounted reverse camera with an ultra-wide 180° viewing angle to give the driver the absolute best view behind the vehicle. This camera also comes equipped with multiple LEDs for night vision to make it easier to see in night time driving conditions. The camera lens and LEDs can be swiveled vertically to give a better viewing angle depending on where the license plate is on the vehicle, whether it is up high or down low. The license plate frame design makes it very easy to install on the vehicle without requiring any holes to be drilled for mounting and also gives it a low-profile look on the vehicle.
The SV-5420.IR can be used on any passenger car, truck, SUV or van. It can even be used on bigger trucks, buses or motor homes. The waterproof design allows the camera to face harsh weather elements in any climate.

Good product
Over all a good product. Install was easy and it looks great. The only problem I have with it is the view at night is terrible. Unless I'm right on top of something I can't see it. I have a SUV with a stock reverse camera and it works just as well at night as it does during the day. It would be nice it this one did as well. Other than that it's a great product.

One piece frame design looks good. The camera is attached to a Pioneer nav receiver AVIC940BT and the picture is clear. Night vision is good with a the exception of images of the vehicles tail lights which appear as narrow bright lines. Needed extra wiring for large SUV...
