Sonic Electronix is now carrying Audiobahn's new 2011 amplifiers. The High Current series features the same attractive appearance you are used to from Audiobahn with the chrome plated flame design top panel. The high current series also comes equipped with dual cooling fans that keep the amps temperature at a safe operating level, cobalt blue illumination to add to the eye catching appearance, and a large display voltage meter with blue illuminating readout. A fully functional bass control remote with a blue backlight knob is also included in Audiobahn's new high current series amplifiers. There are 3 options in power to choose from which include a 2400 watt, 2200 watt, and a 2000 watt configuration, all being powered by a PWM MOSFET power supply.
StabilityAudiobahn High Current amplifiers utilize an advance power supply to increase the stability of their traditional AB MOSFET circuitry. This means High Current amplifiers can operate at much lower impedances and output more power than traditional AB MOSFET amplifiers. These competition amplifiers are stable to impedances as low as 1 ohm mono which allows them to drive maximum power to any component in a vehicle’s sound system. Audiobahn also employs unregulated power supplies which implies the higher the voltage of your electrical system, the more power the amplifier will produce. This makes these power-hunger amplifiers ideal for competition.
Digital MeterDigital meters are featured on all Audiobahn High Current amplifiers. Adding an element of control, the visual indicator allows you to see the voltage of your vehicle and how much voltage the amplifier is receiving. The digital volt meter’s cobalt blue LED illumination is visible in the dark.
4-Way Protection CircuitryAll Audiobahn amplifiers feature 4-way protection circuitry which is designed to defend the amplifiers from thermal overload, internally-contained short circuits, voltage overload and DC offset. 4-Way protection ensures that these amplifiers will continue to operate despite the “real world” mishaps that can occur in the mobile audio environment.

Tight!
Had this amp for over 5 years and it still makes me smile. You will need to get serious about sound and set up at this level. Chincy supply wires and cheapo subs wont cut it with this much power. Is it the most powerful amp out there? No. It does kick a$$ and take names when it comes to wow factor and makes enough power to please most heads.

audiobahn a1500hcj
I bought an Audiobahn a1500hcj from Sonic two months ago, shipped quickly had it in a few dayz, have it powering two Alpine type-x 10s 1000watts rms and its absolutely ridiculous the power it throws to these subs. It can actually over power the sub if the gain is on full plus it can pound them for house and not get hot. Absolutely great amp looks and quality. I would recommend to anyone who thinks they can handle the power.

Supid Loud, yet Unreliable.
I have owned Two of these in less than a year. When I needed it to be, it was stupid loud. BUT even NEVER pushing it past the limits nor AT the limit for long at all, two of them manage to fail. Flame Amps To me are unreliable.

Insane
I would ONLY recommend this amp for someone with subs that can handle it..... I currently am running 2x 2003 Audiobahn 10" Ultra Excursion subs on it wich are 900RMS Ea. Ran a friends 2x P3 12's on it and they didnt last long, and the gain was about around 4/5ths...

Audiobahn A1500HCT & A2300HCT
I've heard and read a lot of debate on the flame series amplifiers, so I figured I'd check it out myself. I started out with an A2300HCT paired with 3 12" JL Audio W3 V2 D4's in the back of my '98 Buick regal...its only running at 2.67 ohm (about 900 watts) and it SLAMS! I love the flexability of a sub amp that is 2 channel bridgable to 1 channel @ 1 ohm stable. I liked it so much that I picked up an A1500HCT to power my 2 15" Kicker CompVX's. The amp is a perfect match for the suba as they are run parallel-parallel @ 1 ohm. The only two things about these amps you need to be consederate of is 1, they are power hungry monsters!, and 2, the gain control. These amps are rated anywhere between 200mv and 8v input. Make sure that your gain matches the voltage outputs of your pre-outs in your head unit. And last but not least, for the price, where else are you gonna find an amp rated at 2000 watts RMS @ 1ohm with 0.05% THD?

rattles
sweet lookin amp, but it rattles horribly even a few feet from the sub box. At 1ohm it overheats after about an hr of hard play unless theres alot of air blowing over it. makes decent power. im doubting it actually has 4000 watts. with only 120amps of fuse its only possible to get 1700rms even at 100% efficiency. decent amp but theres better out there
