Perfect Factory Replacement
It is absolutely possible to get a great sound out of a low powered system with the Boston Acoustics SE (Special Edition) Series speakers. These will bring out the layers and tones of your music as the artist intended. The SE65 speakers offer a naturally warm sound with the ability to get really loud while still maintaining clarity. With the dockable crossover, you will hear a smooth blend of music between the woofer and the tweeter. Since they are only 35 watts RMS, they run smoothly off your factory or aftermarket stereo without the need for an amplifier. These are the ultimate replacements for your stock door speakers! These speakers feature a wide frequency response for full-range playback of your music. The tweeter motor is composed of light-weight neodymium for fast response and efficient handling. The 4 ohms impedance makes this speaker compatible with most head-unit's on the market today. They are engineered with a shallow depth design so they can fit into most 6-1/2" speaker cutouts.

i love the speakers
The best sound out of speakers i heard for the price. I bought these 6 months ago and loved every minute of it. I now have a new car and the first thing i did was install a new set front and rear.

Great sound!
These speakers have very clean, natural sound. They sound good when powered by a high-wattage CD player, but they sound great when powered by a separate amplifier. Beware of underpowering. If you are keeping your weak factory head unit, don't bother. Go get some $12 Auto Zone speakers, they will sound better with low power. But if you've got a little power to put on them, these are awesome. Get the speaker baffles, too.

Nothing Beats BAs in a car
I got these speakers to replace the aging OEMs in my Maxima. I have owned BAs in the past and for my ear they are the only car speakers that sound like real speakers. Plus, they fill the car with great sound that doesn't strain the ears.

Very nice
I installed 4 of these (actually a pair of S65 and a pair of S65RC) in my '99 Altima. They sounded good right away, but as I upgraded the source they really shined. I went from the stock radio/CD to a JVC with HD Radio. They sounded good with the stock unit, very good with the JVC on FM, and excellent with the HD radio (didn't have a CD in the car during installation). They are very clear and sharp sounding, with respectable bass. I listen to hard rock much of it with a lot of bass (like Tool), and they do a decent job, but you'll need a sub-woofer if you want to rattle the windows insanely. Fitting them was a pain, but they eventually worked.

boston acoustic s65
Installed in a friends Toyota sequoia. Sounded ok with stock stereo. No lows. Would be great with some subs.

BA65
Good bang for the buck. All the five star reviews are due to it being so inexpensive. Again - good bang for the buck.

Amazing
These speakers sound beautiful. Boston Acoustics never disappoint me, and these are no exception. Very good quality sound. I do not have these things amped or anything and they can certainly play loud without distorting even just off the deck. Highly recommend Boston products.

Sick speakers
Throw em up on an amp and they go hard. I have 2 boston 6.5's and 4 6x9's in my car and when my sub blew the other day people thought I still had a 8 of 10" sub in my car cuz they hit pretty hard. only complaint is a had to alter my door so the'y fit, they are a lot bigger than stocks.

Awesome!
I know Boston Acoustics is building very fine speaker systems especially good for classical and jazz. As I thought, the sound is very well balanced and detailed. Very sweet mid and highs. Low frequencies are tight. Overall very low distortion, clean and sweet sound. Now I'm thinking replacing the original '01 Maxima stereo to maximize the ability of this speaker. Strong recommendation.

Bostons s65
Great speakers for the Money. Originally had them in my 89 Chevy Truck. Moved them a good five years later into another Vehicle. There Clearence make them harder to fit ibto a lot of newer vehicles. Upraded to the s65RC. same basic speaker with almost identicale sound. Excellent lows as well as highs.
