JL Audio C5-570x + Sound Dampening

Nice sounds!

In a world of all things Made in China I chose to purchase the JL Audio C5-570x because they are not!! They do cost a bit more than some other brands of speakers but I got them for less at Sonic Electronics.
The JL's are installed in the front doors of my 2010 mustang I also fully Dynamat ed both doors a good thing to do.
Powered by the factory radio for now the music is clean, smooth, with more detail and at higher volume there is no distortion I am very satisfied with these speakers.

If you're looking for a great speaker go for these JL's. I'm a live sound engineer and have mixed a lot of music so I thought it would be very hard to reproduce in a car what I'm used to hearing on stages. I have been nothing but impressed with the quality of these speakers. You hear the music like its right there with you. All genres sound great. Only thing is they are a bass heavy speaker if you have a sub no reason to have that bass in the doors in my opinion, I want to save that room for mid and higher frequencies. So on top of my door crossovers I set my amp crossover to 100hz. The active crossovers the speakers came with were just not cutting out as much lower end frequencies as I prefer. Overall I couldn't be happier with these JL's hands down best speaker I've owned in a car. Sonic Electronix did a great job getting them to me as well. Look forward doing more business with them soon.

C5-570x...2 Thumbs Up!

I have been a JL Audio fan for many years and have never been disappointed in their products. The C5-5x7s are a great speaker for my rear deck. I own a 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis with a set of ZR component in the front along with a JL Audio 1000/1 for my JL Audio 13w7 and a JL Audio 450/4 for the Mids & Highs. This is a great speaker for rear staging.

Great speakers

Sound great. Would recommend to anyone. If you're looking for serious audio go with these speakers and a quality subwoofer to bring it all together.

Great package deal value.

I recieved this as part of a package deal. It is enough to cover the lid of my 98 Civic sedan trunk. This will clean up the sound of your lows by decreasing noise (rattles, distortion of sound, etc). This is the first step in noise reduction and everybody should start here.

I doubt it will create a noticable increase in sound from your speakers.

Great Price and Product

I found the price great for the product I got. Installation was very easy, product sticks very well (Remember to clean/prep the surface). I noticed a difference right away in my music as well as overall noise level while driving on the highway (Doors done - trunk is next). Not the thickest sound dampening out there but it def. helps :)

The battle against rattle

Got the sound dampening door kit with some speakers, the installer put it on the rear deck of my vehicle where my two rear speakers and factory sub are. The difference is night and day, expensive but quality, good to get with speakers or a sub.

Jl c5 6x8 speakers jl's BEST 100% satisfied

Thes are the best speakers Ive ever herd so far. I have been to many sound shows to say the best is deep being I have herd very expensive speakers but when I had mine installed they are pushed with a jl 500/5 and let me say loud is a tiny word for these they scream and extreemly clean. Totally amazed you can be 20 feet away from the car and I still am willing to bet you would be amazed 100%.

Loud n clear!

I installed these gems in my /03 Ford F-250 Super Duty Super Cab fronts and powered em' with the JBL GT01004 amp off the SONY MEX BT3700U.
If you REALLY want to give your speakers a run for the money, go ahead and pop in the soundtrack to the motion picture Gladiator! This disc has tracks that will put your speakers through strings, horns, kick drums and some really cool female harmony.
These JL's ate the disc up and spit it out with such musical pleasure I nearly cried.... well... there was a tear but I'm tellin' ya it was allergies :D
