This stereo installation kit has been engineered to help you install a 2" tall (Single-DIN) aftermarket radio into the original vehicle dashboard. This dash kit makes radio replacement simple and comes with a built-in pocket that is located below the 2" radio to fill the extra space in the radio opening, which can be used for storage. The dash kit is painted silver to match the original look and feel of the vehicle's dashboard. Easy to install and fit well.
I put this in my wife's Pontiac Torrent and when I bought, I did not look closely at the color of the silver. The Pontiac's have a dark silver/metallic gray, not the bright silver that this product was.

Very nice adapter
2010 Malibu - works terrific with an older Pioneer DEH-X7500HD stereo. The only modification I needed to make was to cut the top mounting tabs off the adapter - they were not needed for this car model.
This system now consists of the Pioneer stereo mentioned, a kicker 180.4 amp (has built in equalizer and DSP features), and the factory speakers, which I hope to replace in the near future.
