Neodymium magnets have long been recognized as offering a vary high strength-to-weight ratio, but their high cost has led most manufacturers to limit the application of neodymium magnets to small, high power tweeters. With new production and manufacturing methods, Lanzar is now able to offer an entire line of speakers with neodymium magnets at an amazingly affordable price. Since these magnets are more then 10 times more powerful than standard magnets, Lanzar has been able to build Neo speakers with much smaller magnets, resulting in a lighter speaker with a shallow mounting depth. An added benefit is that neodymium magnets provide faster bass response, with lower overall distortion.
