When you look at a company like Beyerdynamic, you should notice the fact that they still make replacement ear cushions/ear pads for headphones they were making years and years ago. Why in their right mind would a manufacturer do that you ask? Its because Beyerdynamic headphones are built to last! Beyerdynamic continues to build many of their headphones in their own factory in Germany. When a consumer buys a Beyerdynamic headphone, they are making a long term investment. An investment that will prove to pay off. It is a good sign when a manufacturer has earpads available for their full assortment, especially when their name is Beyerdynamic. So if you are the proud owner of the staple Tesla Series T 70 (T70), or T 70 P (T70p), then go on, replace those old earpads. Get your listening on once again. Beyerdynamic does not blame anyone for getting their ear pads all dirty, they are just well aware that you wont ever want to give up your Tesla's. Its understandable, once and audiophile, always an audiophile. Its not like the market is filled with premium brands, you might as well have the best!
***Due to a Typo on the Official Beyerdynamic Dealer Sheet, most retailers list this product as the EDT 770 NL. The correct model for the original T70 & T70p Replacement Earpads (Ear Pads/Cushions) is EDT 70 NL. Beyerdynamic Ear Cushions/Earpads models consist of three main parts.
1) The Prefix: EDT used by Beyerdynamic for Replacement Earpads.
2) The Number: 70 (or whatever the number is) is in reference to the primary compatible model. Example: 770 would be compatible with the DT 770 series and others sharing the same frame and pads.
3) The Suffix: This is in reference to the material of the Ear Cushions/Pads. NL Is for the Luxurious Micro Velour. The end result is the EDT 70 NL
