Plays FLAC files, for the win.
Currently the only name brand head unit that plays FLAC files. That is why I had to buy it.
Other than FLAC, it is just a basic media unit with one pre out. That works for me since my JBL MS A1004 can make due with one signal.
It should have come with a rear USB input and a rear line input. It should also have a flip down face with a few SD card slots. It only plays digital files yet there is no way to play them unless you use the one front USB port. FLAC files are pretty big so being able to dock a few 128gb SD cards behind the face would be great. I have to use a thumb drive and take it out if I want to connect my phone instead.
Also, with a unit this cheap, the faceplate should not detach. I'm not going to pull it off ever. Only a thief would detach this face plate. Oh well, if that ever happens, I'm sure better FLAC head units will be out by then.
Feature shortcomings aside, it plays FLAC and costs less than a tank of gas. Thanks Kenwood for being the first.
