Based on Escort's award winning sensitivity and overall performance, the 8500ci provides long range protecion against all X, K and SuperWide Ka band radar guns, including "instant-on" and "POP" modes.
High Performance Laser Receiver
The 8500ci incorporates a highly sensitive laser circuit into the front receiver in order to provide an immediate alert of a targeting laser gun. For the ultimate in laser defense, add on the Shifter Pack.
Crystal Clear Voice Alerts
PASSPORT's unique voice alerts provide clear communications for alerts and menus options so you can keep your eyes on the road.
Exclusive AutoLearn Mode Reduces False Alarms
PASSPORT's exclusive AutoLearn mode intelligently reduces false alarms created by security motion sensors and automatic door openers. In addition, the 8500ci incorporates Escort's exclusive state of the art Digital Signal Processing (DSP), providing the perfect balance of long range warning and false alarm rejection. Conventional Highway and Auto No X modes are also provided.
Speed Based Radar Performance
The 8500ci uses an AutoSensitivity mode to vary radar sensitivity based on your vehicles speed. The result is radar performance when you need it most.
High-Resolution Display
The miniature display provides a plethora of installation options, including an included in-dash bezel for a factory installed look. Easy-to-read alerts and access to user preferences are clearly visible at a glance.
