good multi-purpose speaker
I was originally going to use two of these in my car, but the max top mount depth I could use was only 2 1/2" so I went with 8" in the car. I was not going to let these sit idle so I put them in a bass guitar cabinet, alongside a pair of Sony XPlod 10" and a Pyle super tweeter. It worked out great. All of the speakers compliment each other well and the guitar tone is unlike what comes out of a commercially built cabinet, and I mean in a positive way. I have not doubt they would be good in car audio, which is their intended application.
