THE NAME EARTHQUAKE SOUND IS ON POINT!

I have a Boston Acoustics Subwoofer that sounded blown. I inspected it close and found that the Passive Radiator was blown not the speaker. I searched online and found this replacement. I used this in my home theater system and it sounds awesome - even better than before - you can feel the bass big time!

More Sound smaller box

I bought this passive radiator to see if I could get the same SPL output from an Alpine PDX M12 & SWR10" in a vented box and place both into a sealed box and still achieve the same volume output . The Slaps/Sealed achieved the same volume level as a vented box and maintained the same musical sound as the vented setup.

I made no adjustments to the mass, used it right out of the shipping box, amazing output from a .75cu ' box now I have space to add a second Alpine SWR10" and another Slaps M10 and a another Alpine PDX M12 amp for the 2nd sub.

The mounting requires some caution not to over tighten the screws as it will distort the seal plate, Sealed with no leaks using care on screw tightening.

I noticed the extra support the PR gave the Sub allowed heavy fast percussion tracks to play cleaner and I could crank it higher than when in the vented box. All the suspension control of a sealed box and all the great volume of a vented setup but I did notice the absence of the vent noise at my listening levels, best of both worlds.
Very pleased more sound less space used by a box, ordered a second one immediately!

I bought my Slaps from Sonic Electronix on eBay...
