The MirrorLink-enabled unit displays a synced operation with Samsung GALAXY S III Android/Nokia Symbian phone on the 6.1-inch detachable WVGA LCD for navigation, music, and phone apps. HD videos can be enjoyed via MHL input, while the 1A USB port can play and charge mass storage devices. iPod Out* provides easy control with enlarged iPod/iPhone screen, while App Link Mode* (for supported apps) similarly enables iPod/iPhone app control on the headunit. Control for Pandora Radio is also available on the unit, via Bluetooth for Android and USB for iPhone. Bluetooth Wireless Technology offers hands-free calling and audio streaming/control, as well as the latest Siri Eyes-Free-Mode for safe driving. Other advantages include Variable-Color Illumination and front AUX input. The unit is also rear-view camera ready.
Smartphone integration is made possible by MirrorLink to allow totally synced operation with Samsung Android and Nokia Symbian phones, duplicating the phone’s screen on the headunit’s monitor. The user can take advantage of MirrorLink to access apps that have been optimized for in-car use, thereby assuring a safe and comfortable driving experience. The apps are grouped into three categories for easy access – “Music”, “Location”, “Phone” for Samsung, and “Call”, “Drive”, “Music” for Nokia. Selecting a category lets the user quickly access specific apps for music playback, car navigation and maps, as well as hands-free telephone communication.
In addition to Android compatibility, KW-NSX600 further expands in-car entertainment by supporting iOS with extended app compatibility for full control (Type-A) and simple audio control (Type-B). Also, enjoy digital audio/video from your iPod, iPhone, or USB devices with full-speed 1A USB port providing playback and charging. iPod out allows you quick and easy control through enlarged iPod/iPhone screen on the headunit.
