Works Great for the Price
I installed this alarm in my car about a month ago after some frustration that ultimately was just my car being less intelligent than other cars, possibly mentally challenged, but overall for the price it's definitely not bad. I don't know why people need remotes that work for 17 miles, when are you ever going to unlock your car from more than 50 feet away at most? The features available are great and very very convenient. I do not recommend something like this if you don't know what you're doing, but I've installed several alarms before and know how to read a manual, which I would recommend you do so carefully, or please just get it professionally installed. You would be better off paying the $100 now instead of $20,000 later for when you set your car on fire. Overall installation wasn't terrible, the length of the wires was pretty good, only had to extend one, and it's nice and light so I just mounted it in my dash with a few zip ties.
The actual alarm works very well. Remote start has only failed once when it was about 0 degrees out, but that's understandable. Remember to adjust your shock sensor please, the last thing the world needs is another 90s economy car with blue headlights, wheels that cost more than the car, and an alarm that goes off every time you clap. I love all the adjustments you can make to everything, and having a partnership with Omegalink and an OL-Loader makes everything a thousand times easier. It has a few dead spots when you're very close with metal in between, but maybe I could have chosen a better antenna mounting spot. Remote works fine from across a large parking lot or when my car is parked down the road, even when I'm in a building. If I had to guess I'd say if you have a clear view of the antenna, it will work from 1000+ft, but in my experience with other cars in the way, walls, etc it's probably 300~500ft. But really, when are you going to unlock your car from that far? Be realistic, you don't need 3 miles.
Pros: Works perfectly fine for what it's intended to do, very affordable, fairly simple to install with *knowledge*, remote battery life seems fairly decent for LCD screens
Cons: The remotes are a bit cheap quality and the buttons are weirdly difficult to press but it's not the end of the world

I really enjoy this product. If you are installing it in a newer vehicle you need to order the bypass as well to override your vehicle's security system(smart key, etc). Otherwise, it's pretty awesome. Install is difficult unless you have a lot of experience with alarms/remote starts in newer vehicles. I recommend professional installation. The only bad think I can say about it is the range of the system. It advertises 1500 feet but I haven't been able to get it to operate at any distance greater than 400 feet. The only downside to that is that you will not receive notification on your remote of any alarms, I recommend getting the version with the greater distance.

I've installed 3 of these now, 2 of them with the Blade AL. The Idatalink Blade AL is the same thing as the Omegalink Blade AL. FYI, I purchased an Ol-mdb-gm1 from another company and it came in an omega package and had Idatalink stamped into the plastic housing. Omegalink, Idatalink, and Compustar seem to all share the same modules. It took some research and experimenting to figure this out so I wanted to share. As for the 1860, all of them have worked great. Don't waste $ on the Echo4hr remote. It's glitchy and the 2 way that comes with the 1860 works great, however, they scratch very easily! Put a few layers of clear tape or a phone screen protector on before putting it on a key ring.
