This box rocks. It takes up hardly any room, looks sweet, and sounds great. i have it in my Infiniti G37 running off the factory head unit. it drops like a 12, and is as musical as an 8. great output off of only a 300w JL amp. If you're looking for a very musical sounding sub, this is it.

W3v3 H.O. Wedge
The benefits of JL Audio’s patented, chamber-coupled port design are now available in five outstanding W3v3-based high-output ported systems. These potent systems deliver outstanding impact and sound quality in medium power applications.
The JL Audio HO110RG-W3v3 is an insanely powerful H.O. (High Output) system that delivers a very high SPL while retaining excellent sound quality. It uses a patented, chamber-coupled port design to minimize turbulence and maintain excellent sound quality at all listening levels. The system also includes a solid aluminum bar grilles for woofer protection. JL Audio's H.O. systems are designed specifically to provide excellent sound quality and amazing output. You will not be disappointed with a JL H.O. subwoofer system.
Loaded with what is easily the best selling subwoofer driver, next to the W6v3, the JL Audio W3v3 provides phenomenal performance at moderate power levels with superb sound quality. The W3 series is in its 3rd iteration, embodying the series' pursuit for providing outstanding output and world-class sound quality. This is accomplished by utilizing a whole suite of advanced technologies originally developed for JL Audio's flagship W7. An Elevated Frame Cooling design helps in delivering enhanced power handling and sound quality. The DMA-optimized, long linear excursion capability minimizes distortion and increases output, while multiple patented technologies enhance performance and reliability. Such advances make the v3's the best sounding, most reliable W3's yet.
Although the W3v3 Subwoofer can be driven with as little as 150 Watts, for best audio performance it is recommended to run an amplifier capable of between 400 - 500 Watts of continuous power per driver, like the JL Audio XD600/1v2 or JL Audio JX1000/1D.
JL Audio Patented Cooling Technology
JL Audio's patented Elevated Frame Cooling design delivers cool air into the heart of the subwoofer in ways no other manufacture's driver can. Purpose-engineered slots located directly above the top-plate stream air to the voice coil. In addition, the upper surface of the top-plate is directly exposed to this air flow, whereas on a conventional design it is isolated from this flow by the lower flange of the frame. This technology not only increases thermal power handling, but also sound quality by minimizing dynamic parameter shifts and power compression. In plain English, this driver keeps itself cool so you can play your system longer, safer and without having to worry about frying the motor.
Tight, Clean, Articulate Bass
DMA is JL Audio's proprietary Dynamic Motor Analysis system and is aimed at improving dynamic motor behavior. As a result of DMA optimization, W3v3 motors remain linear in motor force over an extreme range of excursion and also maintain a highly stable fixed magnetic field in the gap over a wide power range. This leads to vastly reduced distortion and faithfully reproduced transients... or put simply: tight, clean, articulate bass. Its main catalyst is the driver's Ultra-long Voice Coil, that allows extreme linear excursion, phenomenal power handling and control, control, control.

If the loaded enclosure or amplifier and subwoofer package includes more than a single subwoofer, then this is the total RMS power handling for all of the subs combined.
The RMS power is the amount of power the speaker requires to operate safely and properly. RMS Power Handling refers to the amount of power a speaker can handle on a continuous basis. We recommend giving your subwoofer(s) 75% - 90% of the recommended RMS rating.
If the loaded enclosure or amplifier and subwoofer package includes more than a single subwoofer, then this is the total peak power handling for all of the subs combined.
Peak power handling refers to the amount of power a speaker can handle during a brief musical burst. The RMS power range figure is a much more reliable rating for determining the speaker's power requirements.
Efficiency (1w/1m) is not an accurate indicator of a subwoofer's output capability and should not be used as a comparison to other speakers or subwoofers to determine which one is "louder".
Round/Circle: This is the typical and common subwoofer design. They have a round cone and are a circle in design.
Square: These woofers are able to achieve a greater cone area in a smaller space. Because of the greater surface area, some square subwoofers will be louder than a round subwoofer of the same size.
Sealed - Sealed boxes are those that have no holes or vents in it. The only hole in a sealed box is where the subwoofer is installed. Smaller sealed boxes require more power than a larger sealed box. They provide a tight, accurate bass, while the larger sealed enclosures provide a "boomier" and louder bass.
Ported / Vented - Ported/Vented Enclosures provide an even boomier, louder bass, but less accurate then a small, sealed box. Ported enclosures typically require more airspace per sub and also less power output from an amplifier to perform correctly.
Bandpass - Bandpass enclosures make subwoofers perform efficiently, but loose. The bass is not as "boomy" as a ported enclosure nor as punchy as a sealed enclosure. Bandpass enclosures work well with lower to mid-level subwoofers.
Binding post terminals are a sturdier, more versatile type of speaker terminal. Because binding post terminals are are threaded, you can tighten them down against the wire or connector for a tight, clean connection. The most popular style of binding post terminals is known as a "5-way binding post". This type can accept bare wire, or any of the common speaker wire connectors. Binding posts with the option to be used with banana clips are even more versatile
Spring posts are a hybrid of the two. Instead of using a thread and "screwing" them tight, they use a spring to allow the wire to fit and tighten against the terminal.

I purchased the JL Audio HO110RG-W3v3 a few months ago and am extremely happy with my purchase. They sounded good right out of the box but the sound just kept getting better and better as they broke in. They need ample power to sound their best. Highly recommended.

I have had multiple JL Subs and this one is as i would expect from them. The sub and enclosure looks and more importantly sounds amazing. I am powering it with a 400w mono Boston amp and am extremely satisfied. The lows are solid with plenty of "boom" without being sloppy. I listen primarily to rock but branch out from time to time.

I replaced 2 Orion 10" HCCA subs (powered by a 4000 watt amp) with this sub and a 500 watt JL amp (HD900/5v2). This setup sounds great. The mid-volume to high volume bass is powerful and accurate. I'm really happy with the amp/wedge combination. The size is not too bad and it's not too heavy to remove when you're looking to save some weight (i.e. track days for racing). What I don't like is the carpeting. it doesn't match my trunk interior, but that's not a deal breaker. The other negative is the low volume bass. This sub needs POWER to perform. Don't expect to get a low end amp or low powered amp and be happy with this sub. I think 400 watts RMS is as low as you want to go.

2015 Honda Accord Sedan Sport. This sub is brilliant! I drive 1.5 hours to campus every day so music and sound quality is a critical part of my day. I have had MTX, ALPINE, and FOSGATE in my trunk and they all took up way too much space, were too heavy making the car drive awful and adding fuel consumption, were too boomy, thuddy, or could hit low but would not fill in the mid bass my Alpine Type-R separates lacked. This High Output enclosure with the W3 is absolute perfection. My trunk and back deck are heavily dampened so a sealed sub just doesn't have the SPL to resonate through it properly. I love hip-hop, EMD, but also listen to acoustical music too and I am so thrilled with this sub I am at a loss for words and I am an English professor! Thank you so much JL Audio!
