This was recommended to me by a guy that has a cell shop they sell covers and he has used this in his home and business so i bought it and it has worked great i use to get 1 bar now i get 4 i would highly recommend it

Works great in apartments
I recently moved into a basement apartment and had no signal. Because the signal was so bad it put me in roaming which killed my battery. I could get text or listen to messages near a window but had to go outside to make a call. I got the Metro YX540 and put it in my living room. I get a strong signal in my living room and 1 to 2 bars in other areas of my apartment. I've been really happy with the results.

Disappointing
I have an 800 square foot home with minimal cell service. I bought this unit as it was a great price, most others were so expensive it would have been a better deal to just pay for an extra land line. I tried mounting the booster on every window and I still only receive about half the calls that come in! Friends have to email and ask me to call them. Very disappointed in this product.

Wi-Ex zBoost YX540 METRO
It is a good product ..i live in an area with little cell reception. Just gotta find a good window to put it on and a central location for the antenna.
