The original Slash amplifier set new performance standards for automotive amplification and became the best-selling premium mobile amplifier in history. The new Slash v3 amplifier is built on this legendary pedigree and technology platform, enhancing it in a variety of key areas; like radically improved thermal performance, a beautiful new black look with powder-coated cast alloy heat sinks and dozens of tweaks aimed at improving performance, flexibility and reliability. JL Audio's Patented Class D output circuit utilizes a discrete control section and a unique feedback loop design that results in outstanding power regulation and a damping factor greater than 500 at 4 ohms (>250 at 2 ohms). This is vastly higher than other Class D designs and also higher than most Class A/B amplifiers. The benefit of this exclusive JL Audio technology is tight, clean bass reproduction with the efficiency advantage of Class D. Its these improvements that allow the v3 20% more power than the previous generation amplifiers.
With the proper utilization of the R.I.P.S System, the JL Audio Slash 600/1v3 offers a solid 600 watts RMS at any load between 1.5-Ohms to 4-Ohms with any voltage draw between 11V and 14.5V. To smooth out that power to your liking, the amplifier provides a very complete set of signal processing features, including a parametric bass EQ and fully variable infrasonic filter. There is no magic and no guesswork here... just pure technology, refined to the last detail.
Highly advanced crossover filters and a full complement of signal processing features offer ultimate control and flexibility. Its this control and flexibility that sets the Slash v3 apart from heartless amplifiers that care only about putting out brute power. A variable low pass filter with selectable slope allows the user to tune the driver in perfectly to its environment and filter out any unwanted harmful frequencies. The highlight of the 600/1v3 is its Advanced Bass Control Section consisting of two primary components; a fully variable 24 dB per octave infrasonic filter and a parametric, single-band equalizer.
The 600/1v3 employs JL Audio’s exclusive Regulated, Intelligent Power Supply (R.I.P.S.) design. This sophisticated power supply allows the amplifier to produce its optimum power (600 watts x 1) over a wide range of speaker impedances. Unlike conventional amplifiers that require a specific impedance to produce optimum power, the R.I.P.S.-equipped 600/1v3 gives you the freedom to use a variety of subwoofer configurations without sacrificing power output or sound quality. The operation of the R.I.P.S. circuitry is entirely automatic and adjusts itself every time the amplifier is turned on according to the lowest impedance present at the speaker load.

The standard to which all amp should be held to
Powerful, built like a tank, sexy as all heck, feature packed, and well designed. Love the inset wire terminals. The openings are properly sized too, to allow just enough room for the insulation to fit as well (some other amps are just barely large enough to fit the wire itself). Makes for a MUCH cleaner final install. Built-in LPF with slope adjustment. Built in variable HPF. Detailed bass boost adjustments with level, center freq and Q adjustments. And then...oh my... a beautiful RCA output section with selectable HP OR LP filters.
Literally, ONLY, con....price. :-( Gotta pay to play I suppose.

Best Amp I've Owned
I have this amp hooked up to a 10w7. JL tends to be on the expensive side but you get what you pay for. My amp puts out close to 625 watts. You can't go wrong with this amp if you have the money.

Great Amp
I have this amp running two 12w3v2-d4's and they sound amazing. Crisp and hard. I'm planning on getting the 10w7 in that tank prowedge enclosure though and can't wait to save some space and just get a w7. This amp is awesome and I really like the RBC-1 with it. If I ever have problems with it I will fix it or get a v2.

great amp...
I had this amp hooked up to three 10's for about three years. It performed very well. The price on this amp may be a little high, but it is a very underrated amp. The features are great but can be a little confusing. If you want deep, clean bass, this is the amp I would recommend.

Best 500/1 amp money can buy.

sick amp
I used this amp to power my 2 jl 12w6v2's and even though i was under powering my subs it was loud as f***, as well as clear and deep. this amp is a f***** beast. my friend runs one 12 rockford fosgate off this amp as well and it POUNDS!.. this amp is worth every penny and you will be very happy with it

I\'ve had this amp for about 5 yrs. I had it hooked up to 2 w3 10\'s (old model) and the back window of my trans am would flex a couple inches. I just recently hooked it up to a single w7 8\" the box replaced my center console. it sounds really good but its not near the bass of the 2 10\'s... having said that, I don\'t think you can kill one of these things. I would recommend jl products to anyone..

Excellent Sub Amp
I have this amplifier hooked up to a 12W6 and I've never heard such musical bass. It's a great buy and has an endless array of controls for fine tuning the sub.
