Boston Acoustics' GTR12 TunableRadiator™ is the perfect tool when looking to add bass without the need of an added amplifier or enclosure volume. This TunableRaditor™ has been designed to compliment 12" G series subwoofers and add +3dB of bass to your car's audio system. Its 3 tunable adjustments will allow you to fine tune your system to your best musical preference. Its shallow mount design makes it easy to install even when space is limited. The GTR10 mounts just like a regular subwoofer, making it easy and fast to install. So if you want to add a little more bass to your already existing G series Boston Acoustic subwoofers but don't want an additional amplifier or new enclosure, then the GTR12 is the only way to go.

Cons: cannot add more weight for lower frequency tuning, foam rubber surround that will rot with time, one of the radiators had an air leak which had to be glued i.e poor manufacturing
Pros: easy to modify (gluing more weight) I was able to get the frequencies I was after, performs well and has reasonably large excursion.

for what it's worth
I bought these passive radiators and installed them. I noticed that one of them moves visibly more than the other one does. I can't be certain that it is due to inconsistency on the part of Boston Acoustics because I haven't swapped the left for the right one and watched them go. The system sounds good though. I wish I had the time to try one of the subs sealed and one with the passive radiator, but I never tried that "A B test". they do look cool.
